Sunday cruising along the Almafi coast
Today we took our fourth boat trip and am convinced it's one of the best ways to see the Almafi coast. The coast is so picturesque and you don't have to deal with the traffic and chaos of the one small road along the coast. We first stopped in Almafi then Positano. Almafi was beautiful as always with its winding streets and narrow covered passage ways, and the Duomo di Amalfi is a perfect example of a medieval Catholic Cathedral dedicated to St. Andrew whole relics are housed there. Gelato for lunch then a boat trip to the Grotta Smeralldo and its deep blue waters.
Later we cruised to Positano but I am not as impressed due to the hoards of visitors - Italian and Foreign. I've never been super impressed with Positano because of all the tourists, but it is probably super popular today because of the perfect weather and it being Sunday. Either way we managed to have a great lunch of lemon ravioli. yum. Another excellent day that we finished off with pizza on the balcony. Yes, I am getting fat!!! Only a couple days left so I have to eat all my favorites before heading back to my typical low carb diet.
